How it began

How Kaizen began

That idea found its home in the apple orchards in South Manali. There, using local stone and cedar, and with craftsmen from the valley below, the two friends built Kaizen Luxe Villa — six bedrooms, raised by hand, opened to its first guests one spring.

It was never designed to feel like a hotel. It was designed to feel like the home they’d always talked about building together — one they now got to share with strangers who’d leave as friends.

What started as one villa slowly grew into Kaizen Boutiques — each new property carrying the same intent the first one did: built with care and run personally.

We’re still doing what we set out to do back then — traveling, working, and building homes for other people to slow down in.

With over a decade of experience as a Creative Director, filmmaker, and traveler, he has explored more than 500 destinations across eight countries. But what truly sets him apart is his ability to make people feel at ease, as if they’ve known him forever.

As the founder of Photographers of India, he has built a community around storytelling and visual art. But here at Kaizen, he builds something even more special — connections. From sharing travel stories over a cup of chai to personally recommending hidden gems in the region, he makes sure your experience is more than just a stay — it’s a memory worth keeping.
